Heroes of the Merge: Justin Wright (AKA Paradigm)

Hi there! With The Merge #1: Unity launching later this month, I’ve decided to do a new series of posts introducing the major characters from The Merge. These are all new characters largely (though not entirely) unrelated to the characters from my previous series. Expect a new character introduced every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the entire month of March until The Merge #1: Unity releases on Monday, March 31st.
And who better to start than our protagonist, Justin Wright (AKA Paradigm)? Here’s what you need to know about him:
Age: 16
Personality: Fun-loving and quick-witted but lazy and irresponsible
Powers: Can gain unique powers and costumes by hopping through one of the six Gates assigned by the Gate System, though he seems to have a unique affinity with Super Energy that allows him to sense Anomalies and may have other uses as well that have yet to be discovered
Quote: “But no one else is even trying, even though the Anomalies are tearing our city apart. And isn’t being a hero about standing up and fighting for what’s right, no matter the consequences?”
Justin Justice ‘Paradigm’ Wright is a sixteen-year-old high school student living in New Gold City in Texas. Living with his mom, dad, and older sister and younger brother, Justin is terrible in school but loves superheroes and flirting (unsuccessfully) with girls. He is also the son of Mark “Brainstorm” Wright, a famous tech-based superhero.
Frustrated by the authorities’ inability to deal with the Anomalies attacking his city, Justin steals his father’s abandoned Gate System to personally investigate the source of the Anomalies and save his home.
But will Justin be ready for the truth behind the Anomalies and his very existence?
If Justin sounds like a cool main character, then make sure to follow his adventures in The Merge #1: Unity, launching on Monday, March 31st, which you can preorder on Amazon HERE!
And get ready for Wednesday as I introduce you to one of the villains of The Merge, the enigmatic Deacon Destiny!
Thanks,
Lucas Flint
