MWSverse

The MWSverse (“MWS” refers to Minimum Wage Sidekick, the first series in this ‘verse) is a recurring setting in which some of my superhero series are set. In the MWSverse, superheroes are a business and it’s every kid’s dream to work for their local superhero. While some superpowers are genetic, in general most superheroes get their powers from equipment, genetic modification, or some other way. Superheroes are basically a mix between private police and celebrities in this universe, with the industry divided between celebrity ‘capes’ and justice-seeking ‘masks’ whose different views on the business often lead to tension and even conflict. The presence of ‘vigilantes,’ that is, illegal superheroes, who often have a dim view of the entire industry, only complicates matters even more.
The first book set in this universe is Minimum Wage Sidekick #1: First Job, while the most recent addition is Capes & Masks #4: First Movie.
